Financial Analyst / Bookkeeping Position in Miami, Florida

Position Overview

Looking for a dynamic role that combines your bookkeeping expertise with analytical thinking? We are seeking a motivated and organized Bookkeeper/Financial Analyst to join our growing team at a leading travel agency in South Florida.

 

In this role, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our company. You will utilize your bookkeeping skills to ensure accurate financial records and collaborate with the team to leverage financial data for insightful analysis. We are a prominent travel agency, with a rich history of connecting people with the world. Responsibilities:

 

  • Bookkeeping
  • Process accounts payable and receivable using TRAMS Back Office software.
  • Reconcile bank statements.
  • Prepare and categorize financial reports generated by TRAMS Back Office.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
  • Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices.
  • Financial Analysis:
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Participate in creating financial reports and budgets.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Communicate financial information to various stakeholders.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in bookkeeping.
  • Power BI Data Analyst Associate certificate (preferred) or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in a bookkeeping software program (TRAMS Back Office experience a plus! We are willing to train if needed).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Drive applications, including Sheets and Docs, for efficient document management and collaboration.
  • Advanced level of English proficiency with a strong understanding of grammar and punctuation.
  • Amadeus GDS (a plus, not a requirement). While not required, experience with Amadeus GDS or similar travel reservation systems would be a valuable asset.

TRAMS Back Office: This is a user-friendly accounting software program specifically designed for the travel industry. It streamlines tasks like processing invoices, managing travel bookings, and generating financial reports. By utilizing TRAMS Back Office, you’ll ensure the accuracy of our financial records and contribute to the smooth operation of our accounting department.

 

Amadeus GDS (Global Distribution System): This is a computerized reservation system widely used by travel agencies around the world. Amadeus GDS allows travel agents to search and book flights, hotels, rental cars, and other travel products from various suppliers in a single platform. Experience with Amadeus GDS is a plus, but not a requirement. However, familiarity with travel industry booking systems would be beneficial.
